Kansas Lottery chooses new logo

A head of wheat kernels bending in the wind will no longer grace Kansas license plates, but it hasn’t completely vanished.
It has been revived as part of the new logo for the Kansas Lottery, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Sally Lunsford, a lottery spokeswoman, said the logo replaced the one used for the last several years featuring a large “L” with confetti.
“We just wanted a fresh approach and something that connected with the history and traditions of Kansas,” she said.
