
New Gold Cup & Saucer Logo Unveiled
Harness Racing PEI has unveiled a new logo for the prestigious Gold Cup & Saucer, to be raced at Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre on August 18, 2007.
“We've been asked why a race this famous doesn't have its own brand or logo”, said Jeremy Pierce, general manager with Harness Racing PEI Inc. “We decided to move forward this year and our marketing division headed by Lee Drake teamed up with Fresh Media and after a number of options the decision was made.”
The Gold Cup & Saucer, with its trademark call to the post at two minutes to midnight, is the star attraction during Old Home Week. This year Charlottetown will start the week by hosting the National Driving Championship on August 9.
