New corporate identity for NMK Premium Global Brands
MK Premium Global Brands, a liquor importer and supplier, recently entrusted Creative Licence (Pty) Ltd, a dynamic graphic design, brand creation and brand mentoring company, with creating its new corporate identity following a change in ownership.
Previously known as NMK Schulz Fine Wines & Spirits, the company's new owners approached Creative Licence to create a new corporate name, and to re-design the corporate identity to feature their new name and new positioning as a global importer and supplier of premium liquor brands. This design and identity were then to be extended to letterheads, comp slips, invoices, statements, website design, etc.
The first challenge for Creative Licence was to change the old NMK Schulz logo. The client wanted to move away from the existing logo to let people know that there was new life in this old company, and to convey that NMK was a premium global brand. Something strong, corporate and distinctive was needed.
Creative Licence rose to the challenge, introducing a new icon for the company - an eagle. According to Martina Bogusch, Creative Director of Creative Licence, “The eagle is a strong icon that can be used on its own and still be recognisable, and in this case the eagle itself is in a circular shape - to reinforce the idea of it being global. One of our other reasons for choosing the eagle is that it is the king of the raptors, thus lending a premium feel to the company.”
CEO of NMK Premium Global Brands, André Homann, says, “The decision to use Creative Licence's services was based on their understanding of their clients' needs, as well as their excellent account management and creative interpretation. Their concepts and presentation were so compatible with what we wanted that we didn't hesitate to use them.”
Under its new corporate identity, NMK Premium Global Brands intends to establish itself as Southern Africa's preferred liquor market solution partnership for global premium brands.
