Green Bay Phoenix unveils new logo

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay unveiled its new athletic department look on Thursday.
Athletics director Ken Bothof showed off UWGB's new logo, which will be phased in throughout the summer and the 2007-08 school year.
It includes the newly created Phoenix image — a green bird with red and silver accents — and features new lettering specific for Green Bay athletics. The university's logo won't change.
Bothof said the logo will create a standard look for its sports programs.
“I was watching our teams, and I saw a little bit of everything,” Bothof said. “I saw Green Bay on some uniforms. I saw UW-Green Bay on some. I saw UWGB on some. Each one was a different font size, a different color and all were on different types of materials. So, our goal was to display a unified image in the community.” (…)
