Indiana Bankers Association Unveils New Logo

The 1,000+ banking professionals who attended the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA) annual Mega Conference last week witnessed the unveiling of the IBA’s new logo. Recently the IBA merged with the Community Bankers Association of Indiana (CBAI); part of the merger negotiations called for a new logo for the “new” IBA.

The logo — unveiled with fanfare during the Mega Conference luncheons — features four lines, reminiscent of stylized roads or columns, that point to the “A” in IBA. The underlying message is that all roads lead to the Association and create unity. The number of lines is significant, because it represents four core strengths of the IBA as revealed by a membership survey:

1. Educator;

2. Information resource;

3. Professional network; and

4. Industry advocate.

The number four also coincides with the four IBA service areas: education, products and services, communications, and government relations.

The two colors of the logo likewise carry meaning. The blue at the top of the image is similar to the blue of the prior IBA logo, and the green at the bottom and in the lettering reflects the green used in the former CBAI logo. Finally, the lettering itself in the “IBA” portion of the logo emphasizes unity. The “B” and the “A” connect, showcasing the cohesiveness of the recently merged IBA.
