Oman Development Bank unveils logo
MUSCAT — Oman Development Bank (ODB) has launched its new logo in a special ceremony held here last week at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa under the auspices of Yahya bin Said Al Jabri, chairman, Oman Development Bank.
ODB’s board of directors, executive management and staff attended the event. The logo represents the bank’s growth and evolution, and additional emphasis has been given to the letter ‘D’. It emphasises the bank’s entry into a new era where it will focus on customer-oriented policies and practices that can offer quick and quality services to customers.
The new logo is simple. It’s a contemporary depiction of the abbreviation of Oman Development Bank that features three ‘Ds’ in motion indicating the bank’s aim, with three colours, namely blue, golden and green. Blue portrays fisheries, gold industries, services, and handicrafts and green agriculture projects.
ODB, has been a long-standing advocate of development of the economy. ODB upholds its mission of diversifying the sources of national revenues by providing finance to corporate, medium enterprises, small projects and handicrafts. Interest rates being only three per cent annum. The bank also offers interest-free loans for small investors who are fully devoted to projects and have no other commitments elsewhere. The bank has implemented a new IT system, and the HR department has revised the recruitment standards in terms of qualification and other requirements. To provide quick, easy and quality services ODB has made arrangements for escalating its branch network.
The bank opened two new branches recently in the wilayat of Mhout and Al Kamil Al Wafi. Considering the increase in lending ceiling, which has risen to RO1 million, the bank has now resolved to finance new projects in agricultural and industrial sectors.
To further mark ODB’s advancement in service, Yahya Al Jabri said the bank would be introducing two new products soon — working capital and seasonal loans for agriculture.
