New ASCS Patriot Logo Released

TULSA, Okla. — After four years of keeping the same basic logo, the ASCS Patriots now have a newer, flashier look to lead the series into the best season in it’s history.

Dana Blair, of Blair Signs in Ohio, recently put the finishing touches on the 2007 logo to allow the ASCS Patriots to move forward.

While under American Sprint Car Series ownership for all of 2006, it is not until now that a Patriot logo includes the ASCS signage; something that ASCS Patriot Director Mike Emhof noted it’s importance of.

“The announcement of our new logo is the final piece in fully aligning Patriots with ASCS,” said Emhof. “Just like making our name change official was crucial, this new logo will allow us to better market ourselves moving forward.”

Dana Blair was also instrumental in forming the original Patriot Logo; and while that logo is no longer to be used, it still is reflected in the “Patriots” portion of the logo. Two stars are encompassed in each letter, similar to the star in each letter of the word “Patriot” in Patriot Sprint Group. The other Patriotic portion of this new look is the stripes of the flag that flare across the Patriots.

“These pieces fit perfectly into our 2007 slogan,” added Emhof. “ASCS Patriots is going to be to place Where Stars Shine, and Others Earn Their Stripes!”

The final component of the logo is the silhouette of a sprint car diving into a corner at a high rate of speed. While the color is black only because it is a shadow, it fits with the ASCS Patriots, who last year had six out of the top seven in points compete in primarily black sprint cars. (…)
