City to unveil new logo

The city may stick with its original seal, but a new logo, designed to help usher in a new era, is getting set to be unveiled next month.

Last week, city officials said they hope to introduce the city’s new logo at the planned City Hall grand opening and Christmas tree lighting event on Dec. 9.

Warren Downtown Development Director Gina Cavaliere said the creation of the logo was part of a deal the city inked with the Rochester-based advertising and public relations firm of Daniel Brian Associates. The firm was hired to help market the city’s new downtown.

“We have [a design] that we’ve selected. We have a committee recommendation,” Cavaliere said. “It’s very simple. We wanted something that was simple and smooth that represented Warren as we stand today.”

“The proposed logo would be to represent a fresh new look for the city. We’re calling it the city’s second chance, a rebirth, and we want to use it in places where a logo would be appropriate.”
