Buffalo Sabres New Logo Unveiled
Despite their refusal to discuss the team's new logo, or confirm it when it was widely rumored, the Buffalo Sabres' attempts to control the release of the image failed when a hacker ruined thier plans.
The team had a blurry photo of the logo on their website, with a countodown clock. The image was to be slowly cleared as the team neared its open practice in the HSBC Arena Saturday morning.
Those plans were ruined when a hacker got onto the site and cleared up the image, and then pasted it on several other sites.
The new logo is a modified version of the current charging Buffalo, but in the 'retro' colors of yellow, blue and silver. It is already emblazoned on the team's home ice, and will be on the front of the team's home jersey. The back of the jersey, and the design of the white travelling jersey has not been revealed.
