The University College of the Fraser Valley Cascades have a brand-new look, just on time for their Canadian Interuniversity Sport debut today. (Thursday)
The UCFV athletic department unveiled a redesigned logo on Tuesday.
“The creation of a true athletics logo for the Cascades program has been 23 years in waiting but I'm certain that once everyone has a look at what's been produced, they'll agree that it's been well worth the wait,” said athletic director Mark Kosak.
The Cascades have used the university's mountain crest logo since the athletics program was founded in 1983.
The new logo was designed by Marie Tary of the UCFV Marketing and Communications department, with assistance from marketing director Kim Lawrence and sports information director Mike Tucker.
“It's really exciting to see it come to fruition,” Tucker said.
The new logo will be featured on a new clothing line by Adidas, which will be available later in the semester.
