Who Is This Guide For?
This guide is for anyone involved in communicating the BalletAustin brand. Ballet Austin, and our affiliate groups produce a signifi cant amount of visual communication materials throughout every season. It is very important that these materials speak with a unifi ed, cohesive voice. One typeface family, one color palette, one style of photography - one Ballet Austin brand.
That said, this guide is not about establishing rules that will make everything we do look exactly the same - far from it. What it will do, however, is ensure that all communications materials we produce look like they are part of the same family.
Photography
Grace. Beauty. Movement. Our art form is, in the end, all about the dancers. Our photographic style is aimed directly at capturing these elements.
Photography for the 2005/06 season was shot and composed in a modular format to provide the most fl exible usage options possible. The primary collage images shown below should be used for all advertising and collateral purposes, but images of the dancers on cleanly-lit backgrounds have also been provided for editorial use.
