Women's Senior Golf Tour Gets New Name
The Women's Senior Golf Tour has announced that it has been renamed The Legends Tour. The move is intended to reinforce the distinguished excellence of the golfers who compete on it. The Legends Tour is also changing the overall look and feel of its events as part of the initiative. The change includes a new logo and website, www.thelegendstour.com, which will be unveiled soon.
“Over the last few years, we've worked to identify the character and spirit of our brand, and we believe The Legends Tour represents a true reflection of our tour and its players,” said Jane Blalock, tour president. “We're the pioneers of women's golf, and this is our tour.”
Added Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez, “The Legends Tour offers a place where I can continue to compete with some of the greatest names in women's golf. Our events are enjoyable for fans, players and sponsors, and I look forward to playing The Legends Tour for years to come.”
