Access Bank Unfolds New Logo
Access Bank Plc, following its emergence as one of the first banks to have successfully complied fully with the Central Bank of Nigeria banking consolidation policy, has welcomed Nigerians into the New Year with a bold and attractive new logo. The launch of the new logo is the first of a series of key corporate actions that would propel Access Bank’s emergence as a strong retail banking franchise in Nigeria.
The new logo being unveiled today reflects the Bank’s expanded business focus and corporate objective to become one of the top five banks in Nigeria by 2010. This bold statement is not a surprise to keen watchers of developments in the banking industry familiar with Access Bank’s transformation and rapid growth since 2002.
Commenting on the new logo, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Access Bank, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede said, “It is a bold design founded on the strong brand heritage and equity that we have built over the last 3 years. Focusing on this heritage and equity that we have built, many of our logo elements such as our name, arrows, vision and mission remain the same.”
Blue and Orange, he explained, “have replaced silver as the core brand colours. Our colour range has been extended to make our brand noticeable, easily recognizable and carefully protected so that our customers can easily find and remember us.”
Access Blue, he further explained, “represents authourity and security while the Access orange represents the bank’s dynamic vision for the future. The typeface has been made bolder, telling the whole world that Access Bank has come of age. The white colour of the typeface remains the same, representing the unchanging principles of transparency and straightforwardness that guide the bank’s corporate actions. The fast forward arrows have been strengthened. They are solid and assertive, denoting a financial institution that now stands amongst the elite bank in the industry.”
