ProxyMed will begin doing business as MedAvant Healthcare Solutions
Over the years, ProxyMed, Inc. has acquired a number of complementary healthcare information and technology companies that expanded our services; however we continued to operate as separate companies with separate cultures and functional operations. During the past six months we worked diligently to remove operational silos and duplicate functions to construct a much more streamlined and responsive organization. With the reorganization complete, the timing is right to unite our associates under one company identity that each of us owns and shares equally, and shift our focus in the market.
The name “MedAvant” has significant meaning for us. The root word “Med” literally means “to take appropriate measures” and “Avant” means “before”, “in front of” or “leading.” The full “MedAvant” (pronounced Med-A-Vaunt) translates into 'to take appropriate measures ahead of others in our industry.”
You may have noticed some changes in the Company over the last couple of months. We are committed to moving healthcare towards true automation and open electronic access for everyone, even if we have to take measures that are difficult for us in the short term. Our industry leading, real-time processing platform, PhoenixTM, is the tool we are using to move the market towards real-time processing and improved efficiency for all customers.
Our tagline “It's about time” speaks to our urgency to move the healthcare industry toward real-time processing and to our commitment to provide our customers with the solutions they need to better manage their business and improve the healthcare experience.
