A new logo for Oslo!
Open, green, accessible and urban are values that we like to associate Oslo with.
To visualize these qualities, a wave-shaped multi-coloured logo which can also be interpreted as the prow of a Viking Ship was developed. The logo links Oslo to both nature and culture, or the fjord city and the cultural city, and refers to the city’s location and historical ties to the Viking age. The new logo indicates both tradition and renewal.

Simultaneously, Oslo Promotion will change name to VisitOSLO, a name commonly used worldwide for local and national visitors’ boards. Our virtual tourist information on the Internet has used the address www.visitoslo.com for a few years already.

The Oslo logo is intended to accompany the marketing message that VisitOSLO will use, focusing on the city’s history, friendliness, diversity, culture and location.

The logo can be used by companies that want to promote Oslo, such as festivals, events etc. Oslo Municipality and VisitOSLO hold the rights to approve external use.
