PowerTech gives itself a distinct visual identity that reflects the simplicity, efficiency and ruggedness of its technology
Mr. Carol Murray, the president and chief executive officer of PowerTech Corporation Inc. “PowerTech”, is pleased to announce that the Company has completed the development of its visual identity, which distinctively evokes the main characteristics of its technology: simplicity, efficiency and ruggedness.
“Our new visual signature, developed with a marketing consultants firm specialized in the B2B field, will be a strong and valuable tool in our business development efforts. We now have our own easily recognizable visual existence that faithfully expresses the advantages of our technology. This visual identity effectively supports the brand image that we are in the process of building for the Company in our different target markets. In particular, our intention is that our logo will symbolize our Company as the true standard-setter in the industry, as much in terms of performance, as for quality and reliability,” said Mr. Murray.
The logo
PowerTech's logo illustrates the very heart of the Company's technological design. “It is made up of three vertically aligned, equal-sized circles that represent the three cylinders which enable tools to be switched quickly and effortlessly on the percussion bucket developed by PowerTech. The logo is a symbol that can stand alone and evoke an association to a brand, as we can observe with several well established brands,” explains Richard Hélie, PowerTech's, Vice President, Sales and Marketing.
The brand structure designed by PowerTech also integrates an adaptable naming strategy allowing the indentification of the various interchangeable tools that can be attached to the bucket. “This approach, that involves using a common prefix for the family of products, encourages immediate recognition of the brand and the company through its various tools, all while emphasizing the versatility of our technology,” underlines Mr. Hélie. Thus, in regard to the “PicBucket”, the name for the percussion bucket developed by PowerTech, the names of the interchangeable tools that can be installed on the rim of the bucket are “the PicPins”, a three-point demolition tool; the “PicBlade”, a blade for cutting and demolishing; the “PicGrate”, a flat blade; and the “PicPlate”, a compacting plate.
The “PicBucket”, developed by PowerTech using patented technology, is a multifunctional bucket that can be used to carry out excavation, demolition, backfilling and compacting work far more efficiently than traditional equipment. The buckets are shovels located at the end of the mechanical arms of backhoes, “backhoe loaders”, on excavators and mini-excavators.
Colors chosen with care
Furthermore, the colors used in PowerTech's visual identity, blue and red, were carefully chosen, in particular because the public has a high degree of retention for these colors and because they help to express ruggedness and reliability.
“PowerTech has acquired a great deal of corporate maturity, that has now been strengthened by the launch of this new visual identity. Today, we are a company that has all the tools required to successfully carry out our marketing plan. We have solid technology featuring numerous competitive advantages, a competent and dynamic team, in addition to a well-defined corporate identity, backed by a distinctive brand image and effective communication tools,” concludes Mr. Murray.
