San Francisco International Airport - Brand Identity

Excerpt:
The public's perception of SFO is affected by every item they see - every sign, every envelope, every uniform and vehicle. That's why it's important to always use our identity properly. Please review these usage guidelines for the SFO signature, the SFO logo, the SFO logotype, color palettes, and typography.

SFO Logo
The SFO logo reflects the arcing roofline of the new international terminal, the streaming lines of jet trails across the sky, the familiarity of the acronym SFO and the efficiency of traveling by air. (…)

Secondary Identity Element
A world class brand is often made more memorable by the use of graphic elements. The SFO logo uses flight lines to create a distinguishing visual presence as well as provide an emotional perception of freedom. When used as a secondary identity element, the flight lines appear separate from the logo and intersect on the left. They can be used subtly as a watermark on stationery or as dynamically as a screened graphic on barricades, but they must be used consistently and accurately.

The lines should always intersect on the left as shown.
