
Lakeland introduces new college logo
Lakeland College has introduced a new LC logo, the first step in a bold integrated marketing effort that will help the college more clearly communicate its message and strengthen relationships with the always-growing Lakeland family.
The new LC logo will be the centerpiece of a visual identity for Lakeland that will help differentiate Lakeland from its competitors in the eyes of prospective students, and further distinguish the college as a source of pride for alumni and friends.
“The new LC says we have a solid tradition,” said Lakeland President Stephen Gould. “But it also gives Lakeland a fresh, clean new image that befits a college that is clearly moving forward.”
The new logo was approved by Dr. Gould after a process that involved meetings involving all facets of the campus that were led by members of the college’s marketing and communications team. (…)
“No one logo is going to make or break Lakeland College,” Gould said. “But this logo, and the larger integrated marketing approach yet to come, will help us enhance the visibility and image of Lakeland. That will open more doors for us to tell Lakeland’s story.”
The LC logo, which will have navy blue, gold and white versions, will become a fixture of the college’s admissions efforts and be used by Lakeland’s incredibly successful athletic teams. It will also be featured at center court on the floor of the new gymnasium in the Todd Wehr Athletic Center expansion.
Previously, due to the lack of a central logo, many college departments and athletic teams were forced to create their own identity for use on brochures and recruiting pieces.
