Vancouver Canadians Unveil New Team Logo
The Vancouver Canadians unveil new team logo for the 2005 season.
The Vancouver Canadians are pleased to release the new team logo, to be used for the 2005 season and beyond. The new logo incorporates a more traditional baseball look and also more prominently represents baseball in Canada. Dan Kilgras, President of the Vancouver Canadians lists the following reasons for the logo change:
1. Incorporating a more traditional baseball look to the logo for the team.
2. Incorporating the “C” into the team logo. The Canadians have been affectionately known as the C’s for many years.
3. The “C” also represents Canada – Major League affiliated teams have been an endangered species within Canada for the past few years and the Canadians are the only thriving minor league baseball team left in Canada.
4. The previous logo has been used for several seasons and had an outdated look.
