New image unveiled at number one drinks wholesaler
Waverley TBS has underlined its position as the number one national drinks wholesaler with the launch of a new corporate identity and logo.
The £500m trading operation, which was created last year when Scottish & Newcastle merged its Waverley wine distribution arm with its recently acquired Beer Seller wholesale business, has out-stripped rival Matthew Clark to become Britain’s biggest wholesaler of wines, spirits and beers.
Introducing the starkly monochromatic new logo, Waverley TBS chief executive Jean-Francois Jamet said the ten month integration period he has presided over is close to completion.
“The final piece of integration will come when the two sales teams of Waverley and the Beer Seller are finally merged into one this week,” he confirmed. “The last step will be the introduction of a new SAB system to streamline all aspects of the operation which will be done in the middle of this year.”
Mr Jamet has been instrumental in the merger, engineering the restructuring after S&N’s owners Scotco bought Beer Seller from Bulmers in 2003, where he was employed as managing director of the wholesale division.
Mr Jamet stressed that Waveley TBS would continue to own and operate all of its distribution network for its existing 36,000 customers in the UK.
