Prentiss & Carlisle new corporate identity logo
In celebration of its 80th anniversary, Prentiss & Carlisle, a forest resource management and timberland services firm, announces the launch of a new corporate identity, including a new logo and soon-to-be-launched Web site.
According to President Donald P. White, the company decided to update its look and message as a celebration of growth and plans for the future as well as to celebrate its eight decades of service to New England landowners, many of whom have been with the company into the fifth and sixth generations. “Our 80th anniversary is a time to be grateful for our legacy of outstanding clients as well as for the major growth Prentiss & Carlisle is enjoying,” says White.
“Our wood harvesting operations have tripled in size in four years and our consulting work has spread beyond the borders of Maine into the national arena. We're developing an investment vehicle for timberland and offering an expanded line of services to landowners who own as little as ten acres as well as to those who own several thousand.
“It's all been driven by our highly skilled foresters and operations staff who truly care for the land and the needs of our clients. It's really fun to watch and be a part of.”
Prentiss & Carlisle was founded in 1924 by University of Maine graduate and forestry consultant George T. Carlisle and Henry Prentiss, a third- generation timberland owner and businessman. Both George D. and David Carlisle, son and grandson of George T., have served as the company's president.
Today, the firm is known for its effective and responsible forest resource management, its harvest-to-delivery operations services and for generating optimum returns on timberland investments.
The new logo, which depicts a hardwood and softwood tree on a rolling hill, represents Prentiss & Carlisle's long-standing commitment to the needs and goals of its landowning clients as well as the company's dedication to a healthy environment and the conservation of natural resources.
“We've done a good job for our clients for nearly a century, both from a forestry and economic point of view,” says David Carlisle, current board chair of the company. “But most important to me is that we've built a solid reputation for honesty and integrity, a reputation that hasn't changed in 80 years.” (…)
