New Visual Identity for FAI
The FAI is pleased to inform you that the introduction of the new FAI visual identity and logotype started on 1st July 2004 .
The introduction of the new FAI visual identity brings to a conclusion a process initiated by the FAI Executive Board almost 2 years ago in order to modernize and reinforce the image of FAI and air sports.
From now on, you are invited progressively to phase in the new FAI symbol for all of your new publications, with the aim of fully phasing out the previous symbol in 2005, the year of FAI Centenary.
In order to help you start using the new logotype, the first part of the “FAI Online StyleGuide” has been published on our web-pages. These instructions have been designed to ensure a world-wide standardized use of the graphical elements that make up our new visual image. To order high-resolution versions of the logo, we invite you to consult the “Contacts” page of the StyleGuide. The “FAI Online StyleGuide” will be progressively completed with additional pages and graphical elements for specific purposes, in particular for the FAI Centenary in 2005.
We are fully aware that the introduction of the new FAI visual image will require additional work at each level of our organisation. We thank you in advance for your help and cooperation, and hope that our common efforts to reinforce the FAI's image will bring positive long-term results for all Members and all air sports in our second century of existence.
Finally, we would like to express once again our warmest thanks to all FAI Members who contributed to the development of our new visual image, and to express our regrets that not all proposals could be adopted.
Max Bishop
FAI Secretary General
