Consistent use of the council’s corporate identity raises awareness of the wide range of services we provide.
Good work from individual services strengthens the corporate reputation of the council. It is important that the council brand is promoted at every opportunity.
This design guide has been commissioned as part of the corporate communications strategy. It must be followed by North Cornwall District Council employees and any designers and printers commissioned by the council.
It develops the existing corporate logo guidance into a coherent design framework for all our publications so that they are instantly recognisable as belonging to the NCDC family.
The guidance applies in equal measure to internally produced leaflets such as swimming pool timetables to high quality print work commissioned from external designers.
In exceptional cases, normally because of partnership agreements or where there needs to be a particular emphasis given to a promotional publication, it may be possible to work outside this guidance.
In designing publications in these particular cases due regard should still be given to this design guide and in particular proper use of the corporate logo. This is to ensure that these documents in themselves are still readily identified as forming part of the North Cornwall District Council identity. (…)
