Excerpt:
As Transport for London moves towards a period of new opportunity, one aspect of it's activities can be seen as a constant. Underpinning the high quality of customer journey is an exceptional design heritage. The public presence of it's buildings, train, tram river and bus network is an intrinsic part of London life and work. Corporate Design aims to create and develop new design based business solutions to meet the needs and aspirations of our customers and the challenges of creating a holistic solution for transport in London.

This site is divided in three parts, the first providing insight into the past, our design heritage and then how we go about new projects and examples of them. The second part includes our Design Policy and Design Standards for TfL and all modes. The third part of the site is a specialist area for suppliers and design agencies to be able to view and request copies of our corporate identity fonts and logos.

(…)

It is important that there is consistency in the use of the corporate identity throughout the whole of TFL and its operating units. A set of Design Standards and guidelines have therefore been created to assist those within TfL, and those producing work on behalf of TfL, meet the requirements of the organization on printed and electronic material.

The standards ensure:
- The correct positioning of branding elements
- The correct use of corporate typefaces
- That our standards are compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act
