New year, new image EMCDDA unveils new corporate identity

The 120-page EMCDDA Corporate identity manual offers an introduction to the organisation's corporate image and sets out the agency's basic visual and verbal communication rules. It is designed for use by EMCDDA staff and close working partners (graphic designers, printers, focal points) in order to ensure a cohesive visual impression across all products and services.

The manual complies with the aims of the EMCDDA's Dissemination and Communication Strategy, adopted in 2001, which called for all information produced by the agency to be presented with 'a clear brand image'.

The manual:
- clarifies the thinking behind the identity and what it hopes to convey;
- sets the tone for how the agency communicates;
- establishes guidelines for EMCDDA printed material; and
- offers practical advice on how to apply the identity throughout all EMCDDA communications.
